Landslide Hazard Forecast Added to the Dataset API

meteoblue has added a landslide hazard forecast to the Dataset API, running five days ahead at 1 km resolution for land between 60°S and 60°N.

The forecast is computed by meteoblue on the basis of the NASA LHASA model. It provides daily values at 1 km resolution with a 120-hour horizon.

Where it sits in the interface

The dataset is listed under Natural Hazard, alongside the Fire Weather Index, the CEMS fire hazard archive, Swiss hail data and European seismic hazard. It previously sat under soil characteristics, where it was harder to find when assessing several hazards for the same site.

What to expect from the data

The archive starts on 1 December 2025, so the series is short. The output is a hazard indicator rather than a prediction of individual slope failures, and it is best read alongside local ground and slope information.
