GLOBIO4 Biodiversity Scenarios in the Dataset API

GLOBIO4 is now available through the Dataset API. The model produces land use and land cover together with mean species abundance for plants, birds and mammals, plus an overall abundance value.

The data is delivered on a 10 arcsecond grid in the WGS84 coordinate system, roughly 300 m at the equator. GLOBIO4 output is scenario data, so the values are model projections under assumed development pathways rather than observations of current biodiversity.

For teams working on biodiversity assessment or land use planning, GLOBIO4 provides a baseline that can be combined with the climate and weather data already in the Dataset API.
